At the end of January 2015 the City of Ottawa published a “Request for Qualifications” (posted here by CBC) towards unilateral removal of tracks on a federally-regulated railway. This is to create an exclusive rails-TO-trails option across the Prince of Wales Bridge.

All of the city’s approved city-wide plans and strategies call for a multi-use rails-WITH-trails solution for the bridge, which is also the plan of Moose Inc.

On 3 February, Moose Inc. (Mobility Ottawa-Outaouais: Systems & Enterprises Inc.) formally asked the Canadian Transportation Agency to enforce its 2012 Decision regarding the Prince of Wales Bridge between Ottawa and Gatineau. Details are in the media release, and in the copy of the formal submission, both posted below.
